Will Iverson And The 76 Ers Reunite

The day before thanksgiving Allen Iverson announced that he would be retiring from the NBA after 13 incredible years that included Rookie of the Year, 10x All Star selection, 4x-scoring champion, and also League MVP in 2001. Not many people believed him even Iverson did not seem convinced that he was retiring by making statements like ” I still have a lot left in the tank “, and ” I feel I could still compete at the highest level”. Those are not statements that someone would make if they were really going to walk away from the sport that made them a star.

Most people would’ve guest that if Iverson did return he probably would be heading to a team like the New Jersey Nets who still have not won a game this season and could use someone like Iverson to help them score some much needed points. As the weekend passed after his retirement speech many people were left wondering if he really meant what he said, then up pops the Philadelphia 76ers looking to bring

He is there every single game busting some pretty sick moves and always getting a huge cheer. The Flyers invited him to come to the Fight for Lives carnival and he performed there as well… They should just give him free season tickets to come and do that every game.. In THIS particular incident I stopped recording about 15 seconds too soon. He got a huge standing ovation from ALL fans – even the verminous Laffs fans that had infested the Wachovia that night. For just a few seconds, Flyers and Laffs fans cheered together. Whats this guys name – anybody know???
